About Us

 

At Psyche we create new technologies for structural engineering, precision actuation systems, robotics and mechatronics, and power transmission. We specialise in bleeding edge technologies combining high compactness, high stiffness, high force/ torque and high efficiency.

 

With two office locations for engineering analysis and design, an ISO 9001-compliant quality assurance process, transparent technical reporting and a dedicated prototyping and testing facility, comprising a high-precision machining capability, metrology lab and mechatronics and assembly workshop, we have seamless control over all stages in our development process.

We are working closely with R&D teams in a number of universities in the Netherlands, Europe and Asia - and contributing from the front lines to the engineering scientific research pertaining to advanced composite and nanomaterials, mechanism and machine theory and mechatronics.

Case studies

Precision alignment and vibration isolation

We developed a modular ultra-high-stiffness precision actuation system for precision adjustment of heavy machines, such as detectors, LINACs, and misalignment-sensitive wind turbine and marine transmissions. Robust ultra-high pressure high-precision servo-controlled double action hydraulics with response frequencies up to 300 Hz ensure excellent adaptability of these systems to aggressive dynamic environments, achieving alignment and vibration isolation up to an accuracy of 10nm.
